The clips feature “big wave surfing,” snowboarding, bmx bike jumping, skateboarding, and other extreme events. The tricks, which are almost always accompanied by throbbing rock music, tend to be spectacular feats of acrobatics, but an engaging aspect of the filming is that much of it was shot in totally ordinary circumstances. For instance, skateboarders are shown doing tricks not only on specially built ramps but on ordinary sidewalks, steps, and railings, and much of the material appears to have been shot with basic home video equipment. The action, spectacular as it might be, has a definite “do it yourself” feel to it. Of course, these tricks aren’t for amateurs, and big names in extreme sports, including Laird Hamilton, Danny Way, Biker Sherlock, Fuzzy Hall, and Christian Fletcher, gleefully show off their best stuff, along with some occasional injuries. –Robert J. I’d say this is a good movie if you like any skateboarding being done but it is kind of boring. it just shows you what to do kind of. its not bad.

Customer Review: Not for Kids!!
Having read the good reviews, I bought this for my 10 yr old son & my 8 yr old nephew for Christmas. Sat down w/ my son and watched it. I became skeptical when the cartoon intro had a guy flipping the bird. One scene, the background wall has the “F” word, and kick “A..” Then an interview with a 13yr old skateboarder saying “sucks”. The last straw was another person coming up to the camera and “flipping” it off. We shut it off after about 10 minutes. My son and I both agreed to send it back.
